Dappleleaf smiled. "Well, you're definitely gonna raise your kits well after how you've raised Blackpaw so far. Also, when are you going to tell her? She'll find out one way or another. So, three days before the kits are due, come to my den. As it's your first litter, I'll keep a close eye on you. OK with this plan?" she mewed softly.


Moonfur walked beside Jayfrost happily. "So, how is it being deputy? I turned down the offer as I would like to have kits one day. I swear I'm pregnant with Dusktail's kits!" she giggled. She looked at the sky. Oh Dusktail, I wish you could be here. It feels like yesterday that dog killed you, not 4 moons ago... she thought.

Scarletpaw held back to join Blackpaw and Barktail. "So...we'll get that food later. For now though, shall we ask Jayfrost if we can hunt along the way?" she asked Blackpaw.

She felt bad for saying it, but it was the truth. Quickly coverig it up she said "Being deputie is great, im sure you would've been even better though. "

Moonfur smiled. "I wouldn't have done a good job. I don't cope well under pressure of everyone relying on you. And yes, Dusktail was too young," she mewed quietly. "I'm glad you love being deputy."
