I hope it's okay that I made Morningflower's kits a little older. To make it seem a few moons had passed.

The tabby tom got to work quickly, clearing unneeded brush and other objects out and down the hill. Once cleared, Hazetsra got to work setting up dens, making his den in one of the caves the large stone structure had. The other, larger cave would be used for his future medicine cat. Other dens where either in large secured holes under trees, under other rocks or in tree hollows. Upon finishing setting up camp Hazestar stood on top of the structure, gazing down at his clan's new home. The tom gazed out across the land for a few more moments before jumping down and heading out. "Now to begin the search..." he meowed to himself.

Hazestar padded through the forest, his ears kept perk to catch any and all sounds. The tom paused upon hearing a faint meow, but as quick as he heard it, it was gone. The tabby tom crouched down to the ground and stalked forward, hiding in some underbrush. In front of him stood two adult cats and three kits. One of the kits was clinging to the adult she-cat and meowing frantically. "Mamma... I want to go home. I'm hungry! I miss Feathermist and everyone else." the white and orange she-kit meowed. The other two kits sat quietly next to their mother while she gave the fussing kit a quick lick on the head. "I know Firekit... I miss everyone too, but Owlstar did his best. It's StarClan who abandoned us..." The mother meowed softly.

At the mention of a clan name and StarClan Hazestar's expression perked up a bit more. A soft voice echoed in his ears. 'That's some of them...' the voice meowed. The tabby leader stood up, padding forward and softly cleared his throat. "Excuse me." he meowed. The other tabby tom whipped around, letting out a hiss while the three kits hid behind their mother. "Who are you!?" the other male demanded. Hazestar stayed quiet for a moment, taking in each cats' scent. They looked hungry yet at the same time strong. "I am Hazestar of HazeClan... I was sent here I believe to find you. You must be from GaleClan." he meowed.

The other male let out a small sigh and nodded his head. "Yes... well we where. I'm Owlstar." he meowed, placing himself between Morningflower and Hazestar just in case. "So StarClan chose another cat to set up for failure?" he meowed, chocking on the word StarClan. They had abandoned GaleClan when they where in dire need, it was amazing no cat had died. Hazestar shook his head, frowning at the mention of StarClan. "No. I do not follow StarClan. I follow different ancestors known as the Dark Forest Cats. Let's get you back to my camp. There you may rest and join my clan. I know you where once a leader Owlstar, but I hope being my deputy and reverting back to your warrior name will satisfy you for now." he meowed.

Owlstar looked over his shoulder at Morningflower and her kits before back at Hazestar. Letting out a defeated sigh Owlstar nodded his head. "Alright... I will do my best. I will go back to being called Owlstorm then." he paused and turned around to pick up the one fussing kit known as Firekit. "Morningflower grab Goldenkit. Hazestar can you get Inkkit?" Owlstorm meowed through fur. Both cats nodded their heads, picking up the remaining kits. Owlstar, now Owlstorm followed Hazestar back to their new home.

Owlstorm goes in search for more of his lost clan mates.}

Copperstar looked the she-cat up and down as she sat to groom her long fur. She was around his age, but the two couldn't be even farther apart from each other.
"What? Want to get a little cuddle time in before I hunt? Hmm?" She questioned, her voice like the honey of a temptress. Yet the smirk across her face was an obvious tell that she didn't actually want to.
"Don't offer me lies, Pearlfeather. Just go out and hunt." He ordered with a huff. 'She's too... Eh...' Yet, the tom knew his options were limited at the moment, so she had to do.
"Fine, fine. Guess you'll just have to find a tom who will pay attention to me. Alright, sweetie?" She questioned, yet didn't wait for an answer. With a flick of his tail, he was out for his own patrol.

The two cat's entered the Moonpool, pelts bristling with the cold winds from outside. Cloudy smiled to her brother, nervous. Her pelt stopped bristling, as her eyes grew wide. Clear blue waters from the pool glistened.
"Don't be shy. Touch your nose to the water." Skystar urged. "It's cold, but you get used to it.
StarClan will send you sleep." Cloudy hovered her her muzzle over the waters.
"Can we do it together?" She nervously closed into the water. "Lets go!" The cold water startled Cloudy, and to her surprise she began to lose consciousness and drift into sleep.

"Cloudy?" Cloudyspots awoke to Skystar's words.
"I'm Cloudyspots now, your official Medicine cat!" Cloudyspots smiled at her brother. "Should we go now?" Her brother nodded, and the two headed off. By the time they were back at the camp, Cloudyspots felt hungry, so she ate part of the bird before going to her den, smiling.

Skystar woke up. It had been 8 sunrises since he had gone to the Moonpool, and he was ready for the day as always. Maybe he should get to meet some of the surrounding clans. He wished to have allies. First, he patrolled the borders, hoping to bump into a leader. He was ready to do some hunting, and hopefully find a cat ready to join his clan. He caught the scent of a new clan in the area, and thought he caught the scent of a cat that had recently been there. He knew alliances made clans stronger, so he stayed in the area longer and tried to catch more fresh-kill. Then he moved from the spot where he sat, and patrolled again very close to his borders to make sure he had not missed anything.
His coat ruffled with the wind, and he decided to go back to camp after patrolling.

"I will be heading off to ask Starclan for a new member of our clan. Go hunting, but hurry back once you catch prey, we don't want any intruders" Amberstar warned Windflight, "Relax, I wont let any unwanted guests on our territory, Amberstar!" Windflight meowed in a positive tone, she headed off quickly to the borders to start her hunting

SweetStar flicked his tail as he surveyed the land around him.this was his land, for his clan. SwiftClan. But before he could go about attempting to recruit any cats, he needed something to eat. He slipped into the tall grasses, his grey and white pelt disappearing into the tawny waves of stalks.

Meadowfern yawned. She was in the queen's den. She had come to the clan as a kittypet, as her twolegs had mysteriously disappeared. She was glad to be free though. She had been given her clan name two sunrises ago, after Skystar had given her a warrior name. Recently Skystar had been resting, as in the past moon he had been patrolling lots. She stretched her legs, and walked outside to see Cloudyspots sorting herbs.
"I've just been herb hunting," She explained. The two she-cats had become friends during her short time at CloudClan.
"What can I do?" She asked, tail flicking.
"Moss collecting, bird hunting... There's loads of birds on top of the HighBirch!" It was true, the birds were just asking to be hunted. A plump pigeon by the Apprentice Den had no chance. "Thanks Cloudyspots!" She yowled. The she-cat slowly walked towards the pigeon in a hunting crouch.

Cloudyspots went into the medicine cat den, tail flicking. She looked at the meagre pile of herbs, and sighed. She added the two herbs she had collected and sat for a moment. Were medicine cats allowed to patrol? She considered the thought for a moment, before visiting Skystar. As a medicine cat she was not allowed to patrol, but she still remembered the days as a loner where she hunted with her brother. Cloudyspots looked into the distance, thoughts consuming her.

Skystar woke up. It had been 20 sunrises since he had gone hunting and had done other things, so he decided to go on patrol again. Swiftly, the tom jumped down from the HighBirch, and nibbled at a squirrel, before patrolling for a potential warrior/fresh-kill.

I will go back to being called Owlstorm then." he paused and turned around to pick up the one fussing kit known as Firekit. "Morningflower grab Goldenkit. Hazestar can you get Inkkit?" Owlstorm meowed through fur. Both cats nodded their heads, picking up the remaining kits. Owlstar, now Owlstorm followed Hazestar back to their new home.

Upon returning to their new home Owlstorm helped Morningflower and her kits get set up in the nursery Hazetsra had set up. The old leader made sure the queen and her kits where comfortable before exiting the nursery. The tabby tom padded over to Hazestar, and sat next to him. "Hazestar..." Owlstorm meowed, pausing for a moment. "There's a few more of us out there. I was wondering if you would allow me to go and search for them." he asked.

Hazetsra nodded, smiling a bit at the tom and rising to his paws. "Alright, but before then I want to explain to you how HazeClan does their rankings. We are a bit different from most other clans. You see this scar on my chest?" he meowed, pointing to the large 'x' on his chest. Owlstorm nodded, glancing down at it before back at Hazestar. "This scar symbols my rank as leader. Shows how tough us HazeClan cats are. I have decided to make each ceremony include the receiving of a scar. When becoming a kit becomes an apprentice they will receive a small scar any where they choose. When becoming a warrior they will receive their biggest scar any where the choose. When choosing to be an elder they will receive a small scar on their on their muzzle or nose. Medicine cats will get a star like scar on their ears or forehead. As for leader they receive an 'x' like mine." he explained. "However for now we will wait for the marking ceremony until our clan has a medicine cat so they can quickly take care of it. Well that's all for now. Go ahead and head out. I'm going to go hunting."

Owlstorm listened intensely, smirking a bit at the idea of the marking ceremony. It was unqiue and would defiantly show other clans that HazeClan was not a clan to mess with. Upon Hazestar finishing his explanation Owlstorm nodded and headed out. He wasn't sure who he would find on his patrol, but he knew his old clan mates where near by. The tabby tom kept his senses alert while out patrolling. It seemed likes ages until a small whiff of a familiar scent caught Owlstrom's nose. The tabby tom quickened his pace, stumbling out of the underbrush and into two bodies.

"Ouch!" a she-cat's voice rang out. Owlstorm scrambled to his paws and backed away, coming face to face with two familiar cats. "Feathermist? Tigerleap?" Owlstorm meowed. The white she-cat turned to face her former leader, her face lighting up. The other tom with the she-cat smiled a bit, happy to have been reunited. Before the other two cats could speak Owlstorm quickly spoke up. "Come. Morningflower, her kits, and I have been welcomed into a new clan lead by Hazestar. He's allowed me to become his number two. So I am now Owlstorm instead of Owlstar. It's a bit disappointment, but we have a home now." he purred.

The new trio padded back to camp, being greeted by Morningflower and her kits. Feathermist began to tear up, happy to be reunited with most of her former clan mates. Hazestar came back to camp with a stoat and a new warrior following alongside him. Owlstorm dismissed himself to speak with Hazestar privately about the new/former clan mates.

The next morning came peacefully and the new cats quickly grew use to their new home and surroundings. Hazestar then once again explained the marking ceremony to every cat before getting patrols around.

tigerfang lay on the cold earth in the medicine cat den, two warriors guarding it's entrance. one was heronswoop, whose's gaze was neutral with a hint of fear, while the other was vixenbelly, her amber eyes glowing with hatred. they both moved aside as foxstar walked in with briarleap, and tigerfang sat up to greet them, but lay on her stomach once more under a stern glare from heronswoop. "tigerfang. we are here to discuss the consequences of you actions." "speak the truth and we will grant you with mercy." the bengal had never seen her superiors so serious, and she simply nodded as a response. "first question...why in the name of starclan did you do this?" the deputy's voice softened a little at the end of her sentence, probably thinking of her deceased son. tigerfang turned to foxstar, and opened her mouth to speak as he nodded. "i am not the cat who killed sagepaw. or any other deceased mapleclanners. i'm begging you to trust me, as i believe i know who did." foxstar perked up at this and beckoned her to continue. "they are probably going to kill me for saying this, but i care not longer. they have done enough damage. you asked me to speak the truth, so here it is. i was poisoned by littlestep after walking in on her and acornpaw murdering hawkpaw." the leader and deputy gasped and this, and briarleap immediately defended her child. "how dare you accuse my daughter of killing her own brother!" the she-cat was shaking with rage, and her mate whispered soothing words in her ear. "calm down, honey. i think there it truth in her statement. remember how you noticed littlestep turning around our kits? sagepaw was killed shortly after that. she must have used some kind of lie to get acornpaw into her grasp." briarleap slowly relaxed after that, and tigerfang risked a question. "where is she right now?" foxstar nearly went white with fear and replied weakly, "i sent her on patrol with littlestep and whitesong." an angry growl was heard and the three cats turned around just in time to see the dark grey pelt of smokeleaf disappear in the camp's exit. "SMOKELEAF!" the ginger tom roared, racing after the furious medicine cat, leaving a sobbing briarleap, a teary-eyed tigerfang, a bewildered heronswoop and a enraged vixenbelly behind.

acornpaw struggled to keep whitesong in her grip. the white she-cat wasn't the best fighter, but compensated for that by being very agile and constantly slipping out of the apprentice's grasp. littlestep let out a small annoyed growl behind the tortoiseshell. just as the warrior was preparing to slice in half whitesong's other ear, a sudden flash of black sent her tumbling away from her victim. littlestep quickly got back on her feet with a hiss and her eyes glowed with hatred upon seeing her brother standing a tail-length away. "you don't want to get involved in this, brother." the black she-cat nearly spat the word. "oh yes, i think i do." smokeleaf seemed almost twice as tall as he usually was, his fur all spiked upwards in fury and his glare deadly. acornpaw barely dared to move in front of this spectacular display of ferocity. foxstar ran in on the scene and noticed his daughter near the bleeding form of whitesong. "acornpaw!" "dad i-" before the apprentice could say anything more, littlestep slashed through the ginger tom's belly. the limp form of foxstar sank to the ground, bleeding even more than whitesong. acornpaw raced to her father's body and looked up at the black molly with crying eyes. "you're a killer, acornpaw. a murderer. you'll never going to be able to change, even if you try. remember that." realization suddenly slapped the tortoiseshell, and smokeleaf used that moment to pounce onto his sister, both cats snarling, clawing and biting. the siblings were so concentrated on ripping each other's throats out that they didn't notice they were dangerously close to the edge of a ravine. just as acornpaw was about going to call out to smokeleaf to be careful, littlestep pounced on him, sending both of them plunging over the edge. both whitesong and acornpaw gasped, as the molly had managed to sit up by now, and the younger she-cat raced forwards in an attempt to catch them. she was greeted by smokeleaf, holding on to dear life on a branch, with his sister gripping his tail with all her might. "how in silverpelt are you- nevermind, hold on, we'll pull you out! try shaking her off, maybe that would-" "doesn't matter a whisker, the branch is already cracking and her grip is too tight. listen to me now," smokeleaf was talking over a cursing littlestep, and he batted her head to shut her up before continuing, "i want you to tell my mate and kits how much i love them. no matter who long i'd lived, i would never had enough time to tell them how much they mean to me. tell dove that i'm sorry. and acornpaw? i believe in you. i always will, even in death." the branch broke, and the two cats fell into darkness. acornpaw strained to hear the siblings hit the ground, and winced when they did, several seconds later. whitesong was now beside her, a single tear running down her cheek. acornpaw then realized she was also crying, or sobbing rather. "what happened?" a groggy foxstar asked, struggling to his paws. acornpaw turned her blurry gaze to her father before whispering, "what have i done?"

littlestep opened her eyes to see a thick fog surrounding her, the pale silhouettes of trees nearby. the black molly looked up to see the night sky, full of stars. "is this starclan?" she wondered aloud, looking left and right for other cats. a chuckle escaped her throat, then another, before they turned into a frenzied laugh. "even after all i've done, they still let me join them? really, these cats are so foolish!" the mad molly laughed for another few seconds before a voice cut her laughter short. "no, we didn't." littlestep turned sharply, her pupils in slits, to see a ginger tabby with hazel eyes approaching her. "hmph. you seem taller than i remember." the kitten she had killed a few moons earlier now seemed older, about the age of his siblings. "by giving me the suffix of an apprentice, my father let me grow." silence settled between the two cats, and both searched for something to say. it was littlestep who dared to speak first. "are the others there?" "of course. i offered them to come with me, but they didn't have anything to tell you." sagepaw's voice was calm and even, and not even a bit accusing, to littlestep's slight surprise. "really? not even one insult? they know i'm the cat behind all their deaths right? oh well. now, what's exactely going to happen to me, since i'm apparently not staying here?" sagepaw trembled as the she-cat mentioned murder so casually, but kept his anger at bay. "you will be sentenced to an eternity of loneliness and hunger in the dark forest. unlike smokeleaf." littlestep hissed at the mention of her brother, and jumped to her paws. "smoke! where is that traitor? i have more than a few things to tell him..." the starclan apprentice took a step back at the molly's sudden agitation and something like sympathy flashed in his eyes. "i told you, he didn't have anything to tell you. or any longing to see you either." littlestep suddenly realized that the tom seemed to be getting...farther from her. as if she was moving back, even though she was put. sagepaw looked upwards as the small sound of a bell rang in the distance. "well, seems like your time is up. hopefully this will be the last time you'll ever see me, or another cat. farewell." "WAIT!" but the tom was already gone, and the landscape had changed to a poorly lit, ominous forest with the same fog creeping around. littlestep stood there for a few moments, gathering herself together. "well. i guess i better search for a way out of here. i'm not going to settle with an eternity of isolation. you haven't seen the last of me, foxstar of mapleclan."
