Swinging Blades

Summer gathered the dogs of the kennel for a meeting. They all sat quietly anticipating what their leader would say. Summer gave no emotion when she spoke. "As you all know we have caught the mutts from Silver Ridge off guard and have ransacked their base. In all of the chaos we have managed to capture a prisoner pup." The golden/shepherd mix was shaking at Summer's feet. He avoided eye contact and crouched close to the ground. "This pup does not belong to the Swinging Blades and does not deserve our respect. As soon as he is old enough, he will become and omega! The successful raid has also brought us even more food for our plentiful prey pile. I think we have taught the dogs of Silver Ridge a lesson not to mess with us!" The dogs howled in approval. "And with a new season comes changes. Some of the dogs in our kennel have passed on to the ancestors recently. While on standby, Blitz foraged for some berries and they happened to be deadly nightshade. The hunting patrol also returned with the body of their leader Roxy, who was mauled by an attacking bear. Kaiser you will take Blitz place as the leader of the Guardians. I know that most of you are in mourning over our losses, as am I, but we need to assess the situation as it is. The Swinging Blades kennel is only getting stronger by weeding out the weak. This is a good thing for us in the end and we can only grow stronger. So I propose a feast for the success of the kennel and strong dogs to come!"
The dogs in the kennel paused for a little too long before cheering. "We will have the day off and hold a burial for the fallen and then feast thanking the ancestors for our success."

"sonya, do you think you could check on shiloh? her pups are nearly here, and i don't want her alone for a second." wanda barked, her eyes blinking at her sister kindly, mouthing a thank you when she began towards shiloh's new den behind the waterfall, furthest to the back; away from the cold draft and entrance of the camp. bear approached wanda, her fur tangled in knots and damp with mist from the waterfall.
"stressed much, wanda?" bear trilled, wagging her tail ever-so-slowly.
"with all these new members, i just want to be the best leader i can be. with the wolves circling and a tiny puppy running around with more on the way-" she stopped as bear touched her muzzle gently to wanda's.
"relax. storm isn't allowed to leave camp yet, and a waterfall protects us as do daxx, apollo, and sonya. the wolves stay on their territory and we stay on ours." comforting wanda, she ducked away from their touch and turned around without another word to the commander. wanda sighed softly, her ears pinned against her head. what have i gotten myself into?

a black stafford made his way into the abandoned building. eris and tank made an attempt do stop him, but he dodged them. As he walked into the middle of the building he looked around, "where is teufel? i have been sent by konungur and heilsa to be his baron." he called out. jack snarled at the strange stafford, lunging forwards but being pushed back by a large gust of wind. wip

snarls and growls were heard from the inside of the pit as jack and bastian started off the festival of champions. the two dogs were currently rolling around and wrestling, with jack having a grip on the top of bastian's skull and bastian tugging at jack's chest. the two fought for the upper hand, waiting for their opponent to squeal in submission. the two rolled around for a while, with both gettin some decent cuts, yet both weren't eager to let go. bastian let go to re-grip and the kangal male went straight to the rottweiler's throat to finish up the match. jack applied slight pressure to bastian's neck, but not enough to cause serious harm. "enough," teufel said, signalling the end of the match, "jack you have won. jutta, you are up against eris."

the two females jumped down in the pit, nodding towards both of the previous competitors. "good luck." eris said with a snide expression, jutta rolled her eyes and got ready. the gang hadn't really seen what jutta could do, but eris had been in a few spars and fights before. "start!" dahlia called out, and jutta stood as eris barrelled towards her. a meter before eris could get jutta the american bulldog leant down and sprung forwards, snatching eris' front leg and pulling it out from under her. the blue female shook her head as she hit the floor, making an attempt to get up. jutta wasn't keen on letting the confident female win, she stood with one paw on eris' neck and her jaws latched onto the side of eris' skull. the blue female whimpered and struggled to get the american bulldog to release her grip. dahlia looked between teufel, reaper and jack, nodding before calling out for the match to stop. jutta ignored the command and kept her grip as eris continued to struggle. teufel, reaper and jack each took one side of jutta, pulling the american bulldog off of eris. rowdy hopped down into the pit, looking over eris and guiding her towards the healer's den.
