havent been really feeling great lately and some things have been going on in my life that made me kinda unable to draw but i am kinda back i guess??!! idk for how long but ill try and draw more often rahghgghgh

I also used to make the ear start from wayy to high, now I know it sorta starts at the curve for the eyes. I also just thought that if I tried to do all the curves that the skull has or like to show where the muzzle started it'd turn into a mess but this.. this actually helped a WHOLLEEEE lot. i literally just got her and wanted to draw something, so here's this :D

a young abby was nestled under her warm covers, dreading the looming school day the next morning. summer nights always had a faint buzz to them, and she wasn't about to let that go; staying up late was one of her favourite things to do. she'd spent all summer stargazing, hoping to see some anomaly. she'd wished upon a few stars, prayed to luna - which, frankly, did nothing because the little filly never stayed asleep long enough for the princess to visit her. abby pouted a little, then turned over to at least say she'd tried.

suddenly, her ears twitched. a metallic sound filled the air - it was quiet, but high enough pitched that her sensitive ears cringed. abby threw off of her covers, launching herself out of her bed and through the house to the front door, not caring if she made a racket or not. outside of her rural home, she looked into the midnight sky.

abby's jaw dropped, her body trembling violently in shock. an absolutely ginormous metal disc covered the light of the moon, replacing it with a glaring, artificial luminosity that made her tear up.

both her and the object simply stood there, observing each other. abby wasn't necessarily scared, but looking at it made her uncomfortable. she didn't even notice the cutiemark appearing on her little flank: a warning label. it pulsed vibrantly, almost as if it was trying to combat the spotlight that the UFO had created. or, perhaps, like it was.. communicating.. with it.

abby shook her head, not believing what she was seeing. as soon as her eyes opened again, the disc was gone and the sky was as empty as it should've been. abby jumped, even more frazzled than she'd been when she first came out. the little filly's eyes searched the sky desperately - it should've been there! how could it've left so soon? when she couldn't find it, abby returned to her doorstep. her parents didn't believe her farfetched story, blaming it on her lack of sleep. they urged her to go wash the dirt off of her hooves before going back to bed, instead. she obliged.

flicking the lightswitch in the bathroom, abby instinctively looked into the mirror. admiring herself as one does, her eyes trailed down to the new mark on her flank eventually and, for the second time that night, her jaw dropped. tears of joy welled in her eyes this time, and she squealed! abby ran to her parents, pointing at her bum and jumping up and down.

absolutely sure of what she'd seen now, the filly promised herself she'd find proof of extraterrestrial life one day.

don't really know who's still on here anymore, its been a really long time since ive posted anything. just wanted to say that I'm alive and trying to become more active again! school takes a lot out of me and with so much going on, I haven't had too much time for hobbies outside of games and my herps! I think my art has improved though! I have a ton of species and I want to try and revive some of them! art-wise currently im working on styilisation, practicing human portraits and mlp c: also doing lots of watercolor stuff!
im sorry for kind of just disappearing but my energy is really low nowadays. otherwise im pretty okay! Im more active on insta and disc but im slowly hopefully making a bit more of a return to other platforms like cs, da and toyhouse!

Anyways, hopefully ill finish this draft eventually, almost forgot about her for a while haha. I kinda have forgotten how cs works and whatnot so im a little bit rusty haha

i realise how edgy and vent-y this looks, but it's really not. i was just thinking of all of the people that have inspired me in my art journey and how they are all gone or rarely post.

i'm gonna namedrop here out of respect because i think it's important to acknowledge my roots. idk if any of these guys will see this but you all really inspired me when i was starting out. <3

rebel, ranger, charli, kami, acro, kay, and pickles all inspired me SO much. some of you guys are still a bit active, most of you aren't. i'm happy for them that they've moved on to greener pastures but it also hurts because i don't know if any of 'em are still artists. faent (ranger) especially inspired me, he's the reason i started drawing eyebrows on my horses xD i love looking at all of my old friends' art and comparing our pieces. if you look closely, you'll notice some similarities. some of them are coincidences, some may not be. idk. i really looked up to all of these people and i just got a bit sentimental all of a sudden. i highly recommend anyone following me to check out their stuff. kay still posts every so often so i totally think you guys should follow her :)

i haven't forgotten about this base i made, i'm gonna finish it eventually lol. but for now this is a redesign of her! does anybody have name ideas? all i know is that she's a crystal pony x kirin. because of her mixed heritage, her horn is disfigured and she struggles to control her magic like other unicorns. she can handle smaller spells and likes performing little tricks, but anything more complicated than teleportation is pretty unstable - despite this, though, she does have a surplus of magic. it's quite frustrating for her.

she's also, like, a REALLY distant cousin of cadance, hence the similar-ish colours. like they're so distantly related that she doesn't even know it. she's just a common pony, which leads me to my next question: what do you guys think her actual talent should be ? 😭😭 i like her design i just don't know what to do with her!!

why do i always draw Gojira in firey scenes-
i didnt notice how much this resembled one of my old godzilla oekakis until i was almost finished, kinda funny since it wasnt even intentional 😅
and i think this is the only time ive gotten Gojira movie accurate (in terms of the head..)
