My pet designs and the inspiration behind them ♡

𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞
June 2022 - General Helper Litter

The design of this kitty is based on eucalyptus trees, more specifically eucalyptus diversicolor which is found in my home in Western Australia.
I named her after the more common name for these amazing trees: Karri.

The bark on karri trees is a mix of browns and golden-yellows, which is so striking against the soft greens of eucalyptus leaves. Her tail is meant to represent fog through the forest in the early hours of the morning, where sunlight makes the tree bark look like its almost glowing.
I wanted my first pet to represent me in some way, and this palette instantly reminded me of the beautiful karri forests in my home state - and also one of my favourite places in the world ♡

June 2023 - General Helper Litter

I knew I wanted to use bioluminescence in some way for this kitty since I felt the palette worked so well for it. I had a bit of trouble coming up with a design but eventually, I decided on bioluminescent algae, which gave me a good excuse to do another elaborate tail edit. Then I kept the theme going with mushrooms and markings that I felt would suit a mammal with bioluminescence. The name Blume comes from "algae bloom" and "bioluminescence".

I also designed the kitten for the GH litter this year!
