Hello and welcome to the GaoGao reservation. Here we house many Gao from breeders all over the world, as well as some rescues. All of our Gao are captive bred as we strive to put an end to the poaching of the last few remaining wiled GaoGao. These beautiful striped equine love to work and keep busy, so make sure you have time to care for them. A board Gao is an unpredictable Gao. We hope to find forever homes for all of these graceful creatures, and I'm sure we'll find something to suite your needs if you can suite theirs.
Rules:
`You may only have 1 Alpha per herd
`Alphas will only be released as customs, or special events
`You must follow all CS rules
`Be respectful to eachother
`If you are banned or inactive for a year+ your Gaos can be revoked and readopted
`You MUST post your Goas on a single post in the herd index
`Do not pester staff. If you have a problem bring it to Nikki6ashba only
`Only official staff may make GaoGaos, or have access to the lines
`You can not sell GaoGaos for anything other than adopt currency or other Gaos
A little about GaoGaos
Physical Characteristics:
-Almost always have some sort of striping
-Always has two toned mane and tail with striped pattern
-Seem to come in the same colors as horses, though pearl is a dominant gene, and apaloosa has not been observed
-rare to have white markings cover more than 50% of the body
-Pony build
-Short(12hh-15hh)
-Divided to Alphas(curl horns), general populous(nub horns), and outcasts(broken or missing horns)
-Alphas can be male or female
-Dark skinned Gao have blue-grey tongues, light skinned Gao have pink tongues
Behavior characteristics:
-Omnivore(small animals,bugs, most plants)
-Like to knock fruit from trees
-sometimes dig or scrape at bark with their horns
-Prefer wooded areas and mountains
-Great for cart pulling, but can only be ridden by children
-Only one Alpha per small herd
-Herds range from 3 to 15 members
-Alphas do not get along
-Alphas are always hot tempered and dominant
-Alphas are law, what they decide must be followed, even with who is and isn't allowed the right to mate
-Same sex mates can not produce foals
-Alphas can only be produced from Alpha or Outcast(with broken Alpha horns) breedings
-Has become completely domesticated and is almost extinct in the wild
-The gems on the necklace represent their strongest trait(empathy, Willpower, strength, speed, inelegance)
Coloration rarities:
Very common:
Bay, chestnut, black, seal bay, brown, Tobiano, Brindle/reverse brindle
Common:
Panagre, splash, dun, grease spots, sooty, overo
Uncommon:
Grey, silver, flaxen, cream, pearl, bird catcher spots
Rare:
Manachado, dapples not caused by sooty or grey, roan, Faded Brindle, sabino
Very rare:
stripeless Gaos, chimeric
