Best friends with Kilroy, Westerlund also hails from outer space. He landed much more gracefully though, and sometimes acts as a translator f for Kilroy. Unlike his best friend, he is not a very good cook, but he's basically a walking campfire so they make a pretty good team in the kitchen anyway.

Daily sticks to a strict routine, and is so regular that other members of the herd have started to tell the time based on his movements. He often sniffs around tree stumps for mushrooms, and they are the only thing that can knock him off-schedule. Daily loves to fly, and does so regularly!

Abercrombie rose from the waves majestically, a bit like the goddess Aphrodite in the myths of old. However, when he got to land, instead of men bowing at his hooves in awe of his beauty, all he got was Spinach yelling at him when he stepped on the book xe was reading. For a deer, he looked pretty cowed after that. He helps chase Sycophant out of gardens and waters plants in his free time.

General Lore
In a post apocalyptic world, filled with the ruins of a modern world. There are old buildings covered with vines, brambles, wild things. Monocultures of pests with no one to control them. The sky always appears tinged with smoke, or ash. Was it the volcanos that erupted, blanketing all with ash? Or the wars, the fighting that took over until none knew what they were fighting for? Or was it even something else, something without a trace left behind?

Its been too long to know for sure.

But it wasn't the end of everything. In this wasteland new life, of a sort, arose once more. Metal clicks and clacks as it rotates inside glass cases. Feline and canine ears prick, emerging from some place deep underground, where they had been safe. New friends and family are made, or found.

"Some of the others call me their leader." Maddox squints into the distance, tapping a hoof on the ground. "Maybe because I was here first, or my age. I don't even remember being created. I don't remember how long I was alone before I met another of my kind."

"But you did, you fell in love did you not?" Indicolite asked. Her voice was sweet yet the question phrased in a slightly nosy way. Maddox's tail fluffed before settling.

"No no, I don't have time for that."

"But Alana, and... Eben?"

"My children," Maddox said with a fatherly grin on his face, he tried to school it, but the way his eyes shone with pride let the emotion through anyway. "I love them with all my heart, did you know Alana has such an important job? A sentry, or attendant. She's told me many times, but all I know is that she has a very important post, representing someone, maybe something important. I'm sure she's doing a great job. And Eben-"

"This story is meant to be about you Maddox." The plucky reporter deer interrupts. "What makes you tick?"

"My gears." Maddox states. He pretends to not understand what Indicolite really meant.

Summary: Alana is quiet, but intelligent, often deciding to be less talkative to hear what others say first

"That's Dad for you." Alana states. She looks Indicolite over before turning swiftly to stare straight ahead. She has an important job after all. She sits in silence, watching carefully as the reporter begins to twitch, impatient deer as she is. But unlike her father she gives the blue deer a little more to work with.

"He worries, and patrols. My brother takes after him in that regard." Alana watches as the blue deer scribbles words, near illegible. But there are no words about her brother written in the stamped hoof-print. They sigh, closing eyes and tilting their head up as a gaze from the Great Other world glances over her form. She has an important job, even if the others often remain separate from the Great Other.

"What about you?" Indicolite asks. Alana smiles a little.

"I keep busy." She looks at her side, where a cat or dog is conspicuously absent. "Maybe one day I won't be doing this job alone."

The reporter doesn't visit Eben. No one but Maddox or Alana ever does.

The poor lad is stuck with a curse. As forgotten as the past, unable to be found by most. He tries to not let it bother him. It's been easier since Edana bonded to him. She is friendly and as affectionate as a cat can be. And his family visit him when they have time.

He'd do anything for them. And he often does, fighting and protecting against dangers that might harm them or the other deer that live nearby. It's what Eben does.

Indocolite muses over her gathered notes. Another hard day of reporting on deer who won’t give her all their juicy secrets. Azur barks, loud and energetic and Incolite bounds towards him. He has found her a pen, or maybe its just a stick. Either way, maybe it all just shows that things depend on the way you look at them.

Indicolite nods to herself. A new angle. Thats just what she needs. And what better angle than one closer to herself?

Amythest - No longer owned
Indicolite's Mama is trying on new accessories, staring into her collection of broken mirrors and shimmering things. She was fascinated with appearances, her own and others. She was a deer who had been here a while too, yet not as long as Maddox. She didn't let it bring her down, including herself in the community as much as she could, and then forcing herself into a few other groups too.

"I'm writing a story Mama." Indicolite proudly said. She was a lot like her Mama, pretty and fine. Her Mama hummed excitedly, turning to her daughter with a grin.

"What about? Something fascinating I'm sure!" Indicolite's ears flicked back at her loud voice but her tail wagged a little at the enthusiasm.

"It's about Maddox, his life and family and stuff like that. I thought you might be able to tell me what you know, having known him the longest"

"Oh I haven't known him the longest, that would be Malik."

"His cat?"

"Mmhmm."

"Oh uh. He doesn't like me. And he can't talk. Do you know anything else?"

"He likes plums."

"I'm gonna go ask Mother."

The full moon shines bright. An owl hooting in the distance, while long branches creak and groan. It's a spooky night, cold and harsh with a fog that rolls over the land.

Indicolite picks her way through the creeping woods, closer to the ancient hut covered in vines and things. She can see a deer with light fairy wings but the young stag darts away before she can more than glance at him. Half-siblings she scoffs.

The hut door creaks open. Rusty hinges groaning like a ghoul. From inside Indicolite can see her mother, sitting at an old table. For a moment it seems as if Blevine has tarot cards spread before her, or perhaps it is the glimmer of star charts. The vision clears and Blevine is sitting there at an empty table, a soft smile sent towards her daughter.

Her eyes can't be seen under her large wide brimmed hat (no wonder her and Amythest had met) but Amythest knew they would have glimmered with the knowledge of a wise owl, or perhaps one who could see more than one could imagine.

"You come to learn about other deer"

When she had been young she would've been impressed. But she was used to her Mother by now. Knew some of her secrets.

"Mama told you."

"She sure did."

A flicker of candle light, a shining tarot card sinking to the table. The devil. Framed with gold.

It seems like a dire sign at first. If not for Blevines fond smile.

Family friends. Of course the story continues.

Indicolites siblings

If her Mother is right in her predictions then her next stop is a little more difficult to get to. Her pup skips ahead of her, sniffing everywhere he goes. It's said that the portals only appear to those deserving, but Indicolite knows it is decided at a whim from their guardian.

Speaking of which, Indicolite throws a sherbert candy into the air. It spins, the colourful swirls a blur as it is caught by a hoof before it can hit the ground.

He always has had a disposition towards theatrics after all.

"Who goes there?" The black stag asks with a slow glare. Multiple colours practically glowing against his pelt.

"It's me. Indicolite." She states. She struggles against her natural inclination to talk, to ask him if he might know anything. But she knows that she would be almost as helpful as her Mama, perhaps even less helpful.

"Thou doth wish to travel to the other realm?"

"I do- eth? yes."

The gatekeeper deer rolls his eyes. With a flourish a circle of luminous mushroom springs up from the forest floor, each a spooky ice-white, reflecting the light of the moon up above.

"There is danger in knowledge. Its gain can not be reversed."

"Right? Isn't it exciting?" Indicolite exclaims. She looks at the mushroom circle, thrumming with a low dangerous power. And with a small wave to Theatre she steps in, her pup only a few pawsteps behind.

The entrance to hell is paved with good music. Or rather as good as the competitive brothers can create. A never ending music battle between Jazz and what sounds to be fiddle playing of the rock genre. It shouldn't work, and at times it doesn't. Making the cavernous area screech with the clash of saxaphone and the bow.

But then it settles back into ryhtm, back and forth and challenges. As Indicolite passes she gets a tilted hat nod from Jazz Man, a cheeky wink from Lucifer.

You wouldnt know they were half nephews by any measure, but family can be strange.

Comfortably curled side by side on a huge golden gear throne lie two deer. A swishing forked tail tapping against metallic golden side. A ticking like a clock, echoing and so controlled and different from the musical mayhem of the hallway.

Indicolite gives a slight bow.

“Great rulers of the under-realm, I come with questions.”

“Indocilite, newsreporter of the above.” Delena smiles at her partner. “You didnt tell me we were expecting guests today Dear.”

Valor gentle inclines his head. “I didnt know myself, my Love.”

“Speak your questions curious soul.”

“I wish to know more about Maddox… and his family.” Valors ears twitch back, and the two deers soft smiles weaken, they look at each other deeply, a series of minute expressions seeming to convey some message between them.

“I is not… A simple story.” Valor states quietly. “Not one for the masses and media as some stories can be suited.”

“Im great at explaining complex stories!” Indocilite insisted. But the two only seemed apprehensive.

“Find Ignia, tell her we sent you. She will help you find the answers you seek.”
