What is a Kragin?
A Kragin is a mythical being that once inhabit the ancient forests of the Alterian Forests. There are many different kinds and subspecies of Kragin, with different elemental or spacial influences. It appears that their scales on the back of their body reflect their species, for example in an earlier expedition led by my team we discovered a Kragin with blue scales. By thorough examination we found it was a water kirin, and decided the blue was related. They appear to be about the height of a large dog, perhaps slightly taller than a labrador retriever on average. The males are slightly taller than the females, a sign of sexual dimorphism between the two genders (this means the male is different than the female). They use their horns primarily for marking territory and attracting potential mates, but will also use them to fight as needed. They live up to an averge of 20 to 25 years of age, some can live to be slightly older than this however.

The Kragins are naturally very intelligent and venture quite close to our camps and have even begun to work with us in a way that we could begin to, in a way, domesticate these beautiful creatures. Their nature seems to draw them to humans and join with them. Perhaps we can find new owners for these curious, life-loving creatures.

Physical Apperace Characteristics
Below is enclosed a list of the physical traits which have been witnessed in the Kragin species.
~Large, Intelligent eyes
~Small ears located back on the head
~A thick, stiff mane of hair that runs most of the length of the back.

Side note: This mane is shorter in females than in males.

~A lion-like tail with a thick fluffy end.

Side note: This appears to help keep flies off as well as helping to gesture for potential mates and enemies.

~Protective scale layering over the shoulder down to the beginning of the tail

Side Note: The colour of these scales seems to reflect the species

~Sharp deer like hooves on their front legs, tiger like paws with retractable claws on their back legs
~A thick fuzzy chest that extends higher up the neck in males than females

Side Note: Precise function is still unknown

~A beard is found in both species, but is longer than in males than females.
~Male Kragins have whiskers; likely to help attract mates
~All Kragins have antlers of some sort, there seems to be more than one strain

Side Note: Observed bull horns, ram horns, elk antlers and the most common shorter antlers.

~All Kragins have stripes that we have called "banding or striation", depending on the features of the stripes.

Side Note: Banding are vertical stripes, striation are horizontal stripes.

~ Do not steal ideas or concept designs
~ Do not change the design of the character
~ Do not remove my signature
~ Do not use off of CS please, if you upload a picture on DA, etc. link it back here.
~ Don't use other people's Kragins without permission
~ 3 strikes/warnings and you won't be able to adopt anymore
~ Rules are liable to change, notice will be given when changes are made.
~ These may NOT be sold or traded. If you no longer wish your Kragin, return it so it may be readopted.

Adoption Rules
~ The best form as chosen by the artist will win the kragin.
~ Up to 7 kragin per person.
~ Only try for one Kragin at a time.
~ Read the form carefully.
~ See the individual Kragin for how to adopt it
~ Kragins who do not have an appropriate form by the end date may have their end date extended or may become a "void" Kragin for my use (probably as breeding stock or eventually put back up for adoption).
~ Forms may be edited.
~ Any extras that are not stated in the adoption page added to a form will not be judged.
~ Every 50th Kragin will have a "Transendent" (a special one) which will have a special adoption form. These are special celebrations of every 50th Kragin.

Breeding is unavailable at the moment, but rules will be put up as breedings are opened.

Customs are going to be opened every month to other month with limited slots available. These are unavailable for now.
